MAMENE PARIS
The scented candle, reinvented as an object you keep
Mamène Paris is a Parisian house founded by friends with the idea to make the scented candle, a product we use every day and finish in a few weeks, last.
Each candle sits in a hand-shaped faience vessel, designed in Paris and made in Portugal in limited series. The colours are rich and precise, from cobalt blue to burgundy to celadon green. When the candle is done, you refill it with the soy-based vegetable wax, instead of throwing the vessel away. The scents are created by two Parisian perfumers and made in Grasse, and many of them are named after historical figures.
Why did étchéaz select Mamène Paris?
Because it is a candle that earns its place on the shelf. The vessel is a real design object, hand-shaped and made in a small series, and it is meant to be refilled, not replaced. That sense of keeping things is what we look for in every piece we select.
We also like how the range plays together. Holders, tapers and refills in a shared palette let you build your own arrangement, in one colour or many. And at étchéas, we care about how things are made: European workshops, natural and plant-based materials, recycled packaging and reusable fabric gift pouches. It’s an easy gift for someone who likes beautiful objects, and a good reason to own fewer, better ones.
MAMENE CREATIONS HAVE A SOUL, AND SHOWCASE THE ARTISAN’S SKILL, THE BEAUTY OF THEIR MOVEMENTS AND THE PASSION THEY PUT INTO THEIR WORK.
